Due to expansion, The Paula Method Language Academy is currently looking for another full-time teacher/monitor for their academy in Inca. The successful candidate could also be called upon to work at the academy in Alcudia or any other which may open in the future.
Minimum qualification TEFL with at least 2 years experience teaching all ages and levels of English as a Foreign Language.
We are looking for a native or bilingual speaker with a neutral accent.
The ideal candidate should be creative, have plenty of experience teaching CLIL, be used to teaching groups of 5 -10 students, love teaching young children (from 3 years of age) and if possible certified in Phonics. They should also feel comfortable teaching revision classes in a didactic and fun manner from Primary School through to and including Bachiller. Taking on preparation classes for official exams up to and including C2 level should not cause them a problem.
They should also be able to take on convincingly, with flair and know-how a number of Business English classes and be available to give specialised courses at client’s business premises if necessary.
The successful candidate would be someone with a decent command of the Spanish language and available for work immediately which means their residential and work permits should be in order. They should be able to drive and, if possible, have their own transport.
We’re open all year round except for 3 weeks at Christmas and national bank holidays.
We offer a full-time contract of 34 hours per week, a comfy working environment, nice colleagues and as many cups of tea as you can drink!
Class hours are on demand and anywhere from 0800 to 2200.
You can definitely count on 1630 – 2100 in the winter and 0900 – 1400 in the summer. We try to logistically group classes together so as to cause the minimum of inconvenience.
